I worked as a UX/UI designer, mainly designing websites and applications. Now, I want to step outside of that field and explore something new. I’ve always wanted to try creative coding, and I’m really excited about the possibility of creating a project that maps human movement to visuals or animations, allowing movement and visual expression to interact and evolve together.

One thing I want to talk about is the Chasen part (Line 30). It includes multiple identical rectangle shapes that differ only in their angles. It took me a lot of time to rotate each one into the right position. I feel like I should be able to create a component and reuse it instead.

Other things I did (not homework)

This is the first p5.js project I’ve ever worked on. It somehow didn’t feel as scary as I thought it would, from a complete coding newbie’s perspective. Overall, it was fine! Some parts were a little annoying, especially when I couldn’t move things as quickly as I wanted to like I can in Figma or AI (of course, I mean Illustrator).

Anyway, I think I can create so much more interesting stuff with this!

I still have no idea what the let thing is. I just copied it from the tutorial but I was able to make the dots random in both color and size!
